How well do you
actually breathe?
The BOLT test. Free. Two minutes. You'll leave with a number and what it means.
Ready?
Let's measure your breathing.
Sit comfortably. Breathe through your nose. Follow the orb.
Do this seated, never while driving or in water. Skip it if you're pregnant or have a heart condition, and stop if you feel dizzy. A self-awareness tool, not a medical assessment.

What the number means
The target is 40 seconds. Almost nobody starts there. Under 25 counts as dysfunctional breathing.
Under 10Your breathing is in the red.Years of stress or mouth breathing land here. Broken sleep, constant fatigue, a body stuck on alert. The strongest signal to act. Also the range that improves fastest with training.
10 to 20The range to take seriously.Light sleep, snoring, low energy, winded too easily. This is the range I work with most.
20 to 30Common. Not normal. Most people land here. Quiet breathing when life is calm, but stress and hard exercise still crack it. Every 5 seconds you add, you feel.
30 to 40Strong. Keep building.Easy nose breathing and solid recovery. Few people get here without training.
40+The target.Light, slow breathing and a nervous system that settles itself instead of bracing.
